Barbara Cornagie (co-owner of RTR) aka “Doo Wop Angel” grew up in Bethlehem, Pa., not far from Philadelphia.

Having older brothers and sisters afforded me the opportunity to develop my passion for this music at a very early age. The first 45 record I ever purchased was Danny and The Juniors “At The Hop”. I bought my first album by ” The Five Satins” in 1957.
I grew up listening to The Philly Sound with Jerry Blavat and Harvey Holiday playing on my transistor radio constantly. I never missed a dance or a live performance within the tri-state area from King Arthur’s Court, Wagner’s Ballroom, The Tower Theater, Chez Vous Ballroom, Notre Dame Bandstand and all the great spots at the Jersey Shore.

I began Following Jimmy Beaumont and the Skyliners in the early 60’s and last saw them in Charlotte a few years ago. I was fortunate enough to see just about all the Doo Wop groups we know and love at one time or another in my life.
These memories are embedded in my mind forever. I am a child of the 50’s and 60’s and want to share those days with you.
I raised my family in suburban Philadelphia , a hotbed for Oldies Concerts. I tried to go to them all. My first love has been and always will be the music.
I am passionate about Remember Then Radio and keeping the Oldies sound alive. I am doing the public relations work for the station. I am also a DJ doing a radio show called Vault of Memories every Sunday at 8pm Eastern time.
Your ideas and input for the station are important to us. If you have any ideas or input you can contact me at BarbieAngel@rememberthenradio.com
